Hello world!

This is the first post to the site. A “Hello, World” is mandatory for a former programmer, right? In the 2000’s my oldest son and I travelled to Washington DC for a family wedding. Today his beard is better than mine. Much. I’ve been thinking about civics and history and government and watching the Nightly News since I was about this size. Howcome? Dinner every night was the whole family – and until he signed off, that always included Walter Cronkite. And when Walter didn’t join us, it was Tom Brokaw, Peter Jennings, or Dan Rather. Most people are unfamiliar with the difference between most anchors today and Lions like Walter Cronkite. But dang. I’m too young to scream, “Get off my lawn!”
